SATeacher launches the
2009
NCS Resource Pack

DoE
introduced the
Foundation for Learning
Campaign
"Laying solid foundations"
This four-year
campaign
(2008-2011)
will focus on the improvement of
Literacy and Numeracy.
At SATeacher we
support this initiative 100% and we will dedicate a section of our
website to support teachers, the department and the ministry in the
implementation of this initiative.
We
already designed an affordable Mental Maths Kit to complement our very
successful Mental Maths Flip books and will launch this in October
2008.
Our NCS Resource Pack
2009 also complement the Foundation of Learning and members will be able
to download more resources (including lesson plans) during
2009.
Our ICT School System, manage Teaching and Learning and will
assist schools to monitor progress and to identify developmental
needs.

The Teachers Resource Pack has sections for learners of
all ages from Grade R to Matric.
The learning areas range from social sciences to mathematics
and are filled with activities to do during and
after their visit that can be used as informal assessments or a
formal portfolio.
The resource pack has been endorsed by the Minister of
Education Naledi Pandor.
